From the time that foreign voyagers first plied the Caribbean Sea, the area has attracted adventurers, and in recent times, adventuresome scuba divers. With hundreds of islands, each with a special charm, the Caribbean and scuba exploration go hand-in-hand. You’ll find old wrecks, new wrecks, coral reefs, sheer walls, gentle drop offs and fabulous pinnacles to investigate. You can dive from shore, from dive boats or spend your days diving from a liveaboard.
The Caribbean is positively brimming with all sorts of marine life including Bottlenose dolphins, rays, turtles, coral reef and a menagerie of tropical coloured fish
Hiring the equipment is easy and reasonable and there are also plenty of places offering tuition. (Some resorts, such as Sandals & Beaches include one dive per day in the cost of your holiday, so no extra to pay).
The sea is always warm (averages at 27c) and it is beautifully clear, making discovering reefs, tropical fish and turtles a pleasurable pastime.

To be honest, there are more than 10, but The Caribbean should be on everyone's bucket list. I've been many times, and intend to never stop!
Obviously THE BEACHES 🏖️ The long stretches of beautifully pale sands and crystal clear waters of the sea are legendary and look the same in real life as they do in all of the photos we see in the media. And then, when you add to that, the year round holiday temperatures, its the icing on the cake. No fretting about what to do if the weathers miserable, and even when it rains its usually just a thunderstorm and that just gives you time for a snooze or a drink! And even in hurricane season, its unusual for it to disrupt your beach holiday 😍😎🏝️🥥🥥 #summerholidays #winterholidays #caribbeanholidays #whatsnottolove #takeabreak #honeymoons #weddingmoons #familyholidays #sorelaxing ... Save up to £700. For £1465 you could get yourself on a Luxury Borneo & Kuala Lumpur 10 night holiday staying in 5* hotels.
Why visit Borneo? Well...
🐒 It provides a habitat for monkeys, rhinos, elephants, bears, leopards as well as a vast array of birds, including hornbills and eagles. Orangutans and the strange-looking Proboscis monkeys live in the jungle, and the island has a small population of the critically endangered Sumatran Rhinos.
🐒Deep in the heart of the island lies a series of cave systems extending for hundreds of kilometres deep into the ground. Adventurous tourists usually find this a good enough reason on its own to visit Borneo!
🐒Mmmm, the food. As with much of Asia, the food in Borneo combines different styles of cooking and flavours. Featuring an impressive list of Malaysian cuisines along with delicacies from the hundreds of ethnic groups, the culinary experience is second to none. Those looking to taste the exotic and experience different flavours rate the diversity of food as one of the top reasons to visit Borneo.
🐒The rainforests. At the ripe old age of 140 million years, the island’s forests are among the oldest in the world. More than 200 mammals, 400 birds and 15,000 species of flowers call it their home. Visiting the jungles is one of the popular reasons to visit Borneo.
🐒The Fireflies. They live in the mangroves and forests next to some of the rivers. Tours take passengers on a cruise along the river after nightfall when the small bugs begin to light up and glow. Watching the trees sparkle provides a magical experience for all who get the chance to witness it.
🐒One of the top reasons to visit Borneo by divers The Tunku Abdul Rahmen National Park, consists of five small islands off the coast of Sabah’s Kota Kinabalu, and offers incredible snorkelling experiences. Diving spots include Kota Belud’s Mantanani Islands, Semporna’s Sipadan and Layang Layang a few hundred kilometres in the South China Sea.
